$25.4K – $36.8K a year 2 days ago Qualifications Pet grooming Mid-level 10 years Full Job Description The Animal Hospital of East Davie has a new opportunity for an animal lover to join our team as a professional, experienced groomer . We offer luxury boarding, grooming, and doggie daycare services and are searching for a staff member who loves working with dogs and has prior grooming experience. This is a part-time role that starts at 8am on Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays. On Thur. and Fri. the groomer may leave when all clients have picked up their pets. On Saturdays, the hours are from 8am-12pm. Groomer will receive 50% commission on production . Our groomers provide their own : clippers and scissors. A grooming table and wash tub are provided. You are responsible for all grooming services including: Bathing, drying, grooming/hair cutting as requested by the client, styling, brushing out, flea treatments, clipping/filing nails, gland expression, de-matting, ear hair removal, brushing teeth, and cleaning up Keeping your area clean throughout the day and end of the shift Seeing to the bathroom needs of all pets in the grooming department Engaging with customers to ensure their requests are understood Evaluating the condition of the pet and addressing any styling/grooming concerns Must have prior knowledge of breed grooming standards Certificate in grooming is a plus Must have experience and comfort working with all canine breeds, sizes, and temperaments as well as occasionally grooming sedated cats.
Compensation:
