Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team at Woofie’s of Northwest Raleigh. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their appearance. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are dedicated to animal care and have a strong passion for working with pets.
Duties:
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets’ fur
- Trim pets’ nails and clean their ears
- Assess the condition of pets’ skin and coat, and provide appropriate treatments
- Handle pets with care and ensure their safety during grooming sessions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the grooming area and equipment
- Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from pet owners
Requirements:
- Previous experience grooming is required.
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
- Strong animal handling skills to ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners
- Knowledge of basic pet care and ability to identify any health issues in pets
- Familiarity with various grooming tools and equipment
