This position is the dream job for anyone who would prefer spending their day soaking up some sun on a walk with a Golden pup, whipping out a laser toy for some kitty playtime, and capturing some adorable pics in a mini puppy photoshoot of your own. At Swifto, your day will involve multiple walks and/or pet-sitting visits, depending on your availability. During each visit, you’ll greet your furry friend, secure them with a leash or harness (if applicable), and enjoy your walk or playtime. You’ll monitor their well-being, take cute photos for client updates, and write a summary message about the walk or visit. By the end of the day, you’ll know you’ve made some pets happy and their owners grateful! At Swifto, we prioritize hiring dedicated dog walkers and pet sitters who are looking to commit to a role long-term. Consistency is key for both our walkers and clients. A high percentage of our dog walks are weekly repeating dog walks, allowing you to regularly care for the same pets and build strong, lasting relationships with them. We’re looking for walkers and sitters who: Are located in Charlotte. Are 18 years or older. Have experience working with a variety of dogs and cats. Genuinely love and respect dogs and cats. Have personally owned and cared for a dog or cat. Are comfortable working outdoors in all weather. Be willing and able to establish a recurring weekly schedule, either Monday to Friday from 11 am-3 pm, evenings from 5-10 PM, or weekends on a consistent basis. Are able to make at least a six-month commitment to working for Swifto.

Bonus points for applicants who:

Have experience as or are training to be veterinarians/vet techs/dog trainers/etc. Know pet CPR. Have volunteered in animal shelters. Have worked in a doggy daycare. Have worked as a dog walker or pet sitter previously.

Compensation:

On an average day providing services for Swifto clients, you may do between five and ten walks/visits a day depending on your specific schedule. For a 20 minute walk/visit, your starting pay is $12.50. So, if you do seven 20 minute walks/visits a day your starting pay would come out to be $87.50 per day + tips. You are welcome to do as many walks/visits as you’d like per day, but keep in mind that it does take time to get from one client to the other.
