The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, the ability to provide high-quality grooming services to pets and a clean driving record. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets look their best while also providing a safe and comfortable environment for them. Your expertise in animal handling and grooming techniques will be essential in delivering exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming needs. Handle pets with care and compassion, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming vehicle, including tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any observed health issues. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any concerns they may have. Drive safely to and from pets homes Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be available for the right candidate. Skills in dog handling, animal handling, or experience as a veterinary technician or assistant are advantageous. Familiarity with mobile grooming can enhance your candidacy. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or moving equipment. Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
