We’re hiring a Receptionist/Grooming Assistant to join our award-winning, fast-paced dog spa. This is a hybrid role perfect for someone with experience in veterinary reception, grooming support, or dog daycare who’s eager to be part of a team that loves pets — and loves what we do.

Tips Schedule:

Open-to-Close Availability (8AM-5PM) Required Saturdays Required Must have year-round availability•school-only or summer schedules are not compatible Work at either of our two Wilmington locations•reliable transportation required

What We’re Looking For:

2+ years of experience working directly with dogs in a professional setting (vet office, grooming salon, daycare, or boarding only — (pet sitting or owning pets does not qualify) 2+ years of receptionist or front desk experience (preferably in a pet-related setting) Skilled in dog bathing and nail trimming, or able and eager to be closely trained Confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments Punctual & reliable Professional, friendly, and calm under pressure A team player who enjoys working with both pets and people Organized and efficient with excellent multitasking skills Tech-savvy•familiar with POS systems, Google Docs, emails, and online booking Excellent time management skills Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

Greet pets and pet parents warmly, creating a positive first impression Efficiently manage check-ins and check-outs, getting pets to their holding or service areas in a quick manner Answer phones, emails, and voicemails in a timely, problem-solving manner Schedule appointments, verify vaccines, and maintain accurate client records Track pets throughout the grooming process and communicate updates to owners Assist groomers by bathing dogs, performing nail trims, and safely handling pets Help with cleanup, organizing, and taking pet photos for social media Promote and upsell spa services and upgrades (sales bonuses = more Income) Maintain cleanliness of the lobby, restrooms, and grooming areas
