Job Description About the

Role:

We are seeking a Part Time Kennel Technician to join our team at Swift Creek Animal Hospital. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and wellness of our animal guests. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for the animals, as well as providing excellent customer service to their owners. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our animal guests are comfortable and happy during their stay with us. This position is for afternoons (2-6pm ) and occasional weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

Previous experience in animal husbandry and handling
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with health and wellness of animals

Responsibilities:

Feeding and watering animals according to their specific dietary needs
Cleaning and sanitizing kennels and walking areas
Assisting with animal bathing
Assisting Veterinary Assistants and DVMs with restraint for sample collection and exams
Cleaning and packing surgical instruments, towels, and gowns

Skills:

As a Kennel Technician, you will utilize your animal husbandry and animal handling skills on a daily basis. You will also use your sanitization skills to maintain a clean and safe environment for our animal guests. Overall, your skills will be crucial in ensuring the health and happiness of our animal guests.
