In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. You will interact with dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring their well-being while also delivering excellent customer service to pet owners. Your love for animals and ability to handle them with care will be essential in creating a positive experience for both the dogs and their owners. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being. Maintain a clean and organized daycare environment by regularly cleaning play areas, kennels, and equipment. Feed and provide fresh water to dogs according to their specific dietary needs. Monitor dog behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff as needed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their dogs’ activities and needs. Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger dogs. Participate in training sessions for dog handling techniques and safety protocols. Requirements Previous experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred. Knowledge of dog behavior, training techniques, and basic veterinary care is a plus but not a requirement. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds). A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their care and safety. Be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all season and weather conditions. Ability to work on your feet for the duration of shifts. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
