Overnight Pet Care Associate Little Bay Pet Services Portsmouth, NH 03801 Little Bay Pet Services is a premier pet sitting company. We have served clients in Seacoast, NH for over 16 years. We provide Dog Walking, Pet Sitting and In-Home Overnight Pet Care. Business is thriving and we are expanding our dynamic team of Pet Sitters! Preference will be given to individuals with pet care backgrounds. Essential Job Functions Driving/Location Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and be able to transport pets safely in an emergency. Live in or adjacent to the towns we service: Newington, Portsmouth, Greenland, Stratham, North Hampton, New Castle, Rye. This is essential to minimize driving time and maximize earning potential. Be comfortable driving and walking in all types of weather. Dog Walking Have the skills to successfully walk dogs in public places. Be able to restrain and control dogs up to 120 lbs. on leash. Possess the knowledge of effective walking techniques. Understand canine behavior. Pet Sitting-Dogs, Cats, Caged Pets Feeding animals per instructions. Administering medications, oral, transdermal, injections (preferred but not required.) Entering and leaving client’s home securely. Monitoring pets for health issues. Interacting with pets. Litter box maintenance. Assuring the safety of client’s pets and property. Pet Management Have a basic understanding of pet behavior. Demonstrate the ability to manage pets safely and effectively. Ability to identify signs of stress, aggression, pain and fear. Be able to react calmly and appropriately in an emergency. Sleepover Details A great understanding of various home setups and comfort adapting to different household environments. Comfortable staying in different homes and navigating various household setups. 12-hour overnight shifts from 6/7 PM to 6/7 AM. Stays can range from one night up to two weeks—perfect for those with flexible schedules! Client Relations Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients are expected. Maintaining high customer satisfaction happiness for each assignment. Communicate clearly and be able to verify that messages are received. Ability to establish trust and rapport is key. Teamwork Work well in a team environment, as well as independently. All positions require flexibility to accommodate schedule and assignment changes to support team members.
