Small Animals Reptiles Fish Amphibians Birds Key Animal Responsibilities:

In charge of the overall Health, Welfare and proper handling of all live animals Be knowledgeable of and adhere to Department of Agriculture rules and standards Order all store livestock following established guidelines Work with new Staff to ensure all are trained in basic care and needs of each live animal Work to train staff on proper animal setup (store vs. home environment) Ensure cleanliness standards of all animal enclosures and fish tanks. Help to develop a fun and knowledgeable “Destination Experience” to our customers Sales & Inventory Responsibilities Work with the Merchandising Manager to ensure animal care products are stocked properly. Work with Staff to ensure overstock is pulled from the warehouse and shelves maintained daily. Ensure Animal Supply areas are clean, organized and merchandized appropriately Notify Store Manager of any product needs or stock issues Notify Store Manager of all Store Use Animal care needs weekly Responsible for Department budgeted Sales goals, gross margin and inventory loss
