Dog Handler/ Doggie Daycare Attendant All Creatures Boarding and Grooming 6572 Williams Road, Rome, NY 13440 All Creatures Boarding and Grooming, a daycare, grooming and boarding facility is looking for an enthusiastic, responsible and motivated doggy daycare attendant. Full time and part time positions available.

Job Summary:

The Daycare Attendant is responsible for the supervision, control and management of the daycare and boarding dogs while ensuring the safety of the pack. The Daycare Attendant is also responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the playroom and other areas of the facility. The Daycare Attendant position involves a lot of physical work, standing, bending and moving around.

Essential Functions of Daycare Attendant:

Controls level of play by following dog management and control procedures and instructions provided by management Interacts with dogs by using appropriate tools to ensure safe levels of play and minimizing stress levels of all dogs in playgroup and using appropriate correct methods Identifies all daycare and boarding dogs by name Reports any unusual behavior, eliminations, or injuries to supervisor immediately Communicates with other staff any unusual behaviors or concerns observed Uses proper dog introduction procedures Maintains cleanliness of playroom as instructed per the posted daily checklist Completes general cleaning duties as posted and/ or assigned in a timely manner Scoops dog waste and mopping up urine immediately Finishes tasks on daily, weekly, and monthly task sheets Feeds boarding dogs per instructions provided by the Front Desk Completes a thorough pup check on each boarding dog nightly and noting/communicating any issues and/or concerns to management

Work Environment:

The Daycare Attendant performs their work in an indoor/outdoor setting. While primary responsibilities include pack management, other duties require cleaning of animal bodily fluids such as urine, feces, and occasionally blood.

Physical Demands:

Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, and move continually during working hours. Additionally, subject to lifting over 50 pounds.

Expected Hours of Work:

Variable from part time to full time. Daycare shift hours are based on availability and fall within a 7 day a week schedule between the hours of 7:00 am to 6 pm. Weekend and holiday hours required.

Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Job Type :
