We would love to hire someone that is very self motivated and has experience with all dog breeds. Previous grooming experience is a must. We welcome vet techs to apply. Pay will be based on experience. Hours Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30.

DUTIES:

• Groom pets according to client specifications and breed standards
• Bathe, brush, and trim pets’ fur or feathers
• Clip nails, clean ears, and brush teeth
• Assess and report any health issues or concerns to pet owners
• Handle pets with care and ensure their safety during grooming sessions
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area “`Skills“`
• Pet care: Knowledge of different breeds, their specific needs, and grooming requirements
• Animal handling: Ability to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
• Customer service: Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and understand their grooming preferences
• Dog training: Basic understanding of dog behavior and training techniques to manage dogs during grooming sessions
• Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and maneuver larger pets or equipment as needed
• Animal care: Knowledge of basic animal health and hygiene practices
• Dog handling and behavior training: Proficiency in handling dogs during grooming procedures

Note:

Veterinary assistant experience or certification is a plus but not required for this position.
