Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate experienced pet associate to join our team. As a pet associate, you will be responsible for providing care to our inventory of exotic birds and helping customer find the perfect pet. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a passion for birds and a desire to make a positive impact in their lives.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets
• Daily feeding, watering and cleaning
• Restocking inventory
• Helping customers on the sales floor
• Other duties deemed necessary during shift

Skills:

• Previous experience working with birds, such as veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or bird grooming experience
• Knowledge of animal care best practices and basic medical procedures
• Ability to handle birds of various sizes and temperaments
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to specific care requirements provided by management
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting feed bags and cages
