Merry Puppins is an award winning animal care provider servicing Pittsburgh’s East End (Highland Park, Morningside, Lawrenceville, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Regent Square, Aspinwall, O’Hara, and surrounding areas). We are looking for someone who is passionate about pet care to join our growing team! We are looking for a Pet Sitter to work 2-3 days per week. If you love pets and can work independently, this job might be a great fit for you! We are particularly interested in hiring someone who has experience as a veterinary technician, providing shelter based animal care, or extensive personal pet care experience.

We are currently looking for someone who: Is available to care for dogs, cats and other small animals. ls comfortable travelling to clients’ homes to care for animals- people are usually at work or out of town when we come. Can competently care for the animals at the client’s home- including changing water, cleaning litter boxes, giving treats, cleaning messes, sometimes feeding meals, bringing in packages, cuddles, playtime, etc. Many of our staff say it’s the best job ever!

Job Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and registered/insured reliable transportation. Live in or near our service area, Pittsburgh’s East End. Pass a background check. Must be 18 years of age or older. Because we invest heavily in our team members, we are looking for people who can commit to this position for at least one year from time of hire. Must have smartphone with internet and camera to access our apps, along with the data needed to function. Must be comfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes. Be able to follow detailed instructions so that we can provide the very best pet care. Must successfully complete training and be able to work independently. Must be available to work on some holidays- we are open for business 365 days per year. Get paid extra for holiday work!
