Lead Kennel Techs are responsible for executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable to the Golden Wood standard. Duties Daily care of feeding and medicating dogs, cats, and small animals. Lead shift of co-workers, giving them vision for the day, and leading well. Daily cleaning of dog runs and cat condos

• to provide exceptional cleaning standards. Provide basic grooming for dogs
• baths, nail trims, and ear cleanings.

Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and well-being at check-in & check-out. Understanding the basics of our software, Gingr, to complete check-ins & check-outs and communicate all concerns to the staff about the pet and/or owner. Helping oversee the overall flow of the location during your shift. Supporting your Manager in following through with concerns or issues with the pets or owner’s of the pets. Experience Customer service experience. Leading a team of co-workers during your shift. Ability to understand the different temperaments of dog breeds. Physical stamina to handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels. Previous experience in basic grooming for dogs. Any previous experience in the veterinary field is a PLUS! Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners. Expectations Communication

Pay/Tips Once you’ve completed the Kennel Tech training program (which typically takes 4-6 weeks), you will be a part of the tip pool. Tips on a weekly basis average an extra $3
