Job Overview:
As an Animal Care Specialist, you’ll be a vital team member responsible for the well-being of our animals. This role involves monitoring animal health, performing daily care tasks, and maintaining an environment that upholds our standards in animal welfare. This position is a first shift role, working Monday through Friday with rotating weekend and holiday work.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and evaluate the health of sows and piglets daily Maintain accurate records for health and breeding progress Ensure a safe and clean environment, following biosecurity and animal welfare policies Handle animals for feeding, movement, and general care tasks Assist with facility cleaning and routine maintenance as needed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with exposure to dust, manure, and noises, Availability for rotational weekend and holiday work No personal pigs.
