Pet Bather Whispering Whiskers Pet Spa 680 Cloverleaf Rd, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong commitment to providing high-quality grooming services. As a Pet Bather, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and cleanliness of our furry clients, while also contributing to a positive experience for their owners. This position requires hands-on experience with various breeds and sizes of pets, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We operate Tuesday through Saturday, but will occasionally need to work Sunday and or Mondays to make up for Dog Show weekends. This will give you Fridays and Saturdays off instead on those weeks. We know most of our schedule 6-8 weeks in advance. Hours change based off of client schedules, but we normally start between 8-10am. Your shift could be 4-6 hours based off the daily schedule. You will have access to an app called MoeGo to see the schedule. Duties Bathe and dry pets using appropriate techniques and equipment Brush, comb, and de-shed pets to maintain coat health Inspect pets for any signs of skin issues or abnormalities Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and grooming tools Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs Handle animals safely and comfortably during grooming sessions Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both pets and staff Disinfect and clean grooming area and kennels Qualifications Experience in dog handling or pet grooming is preferred Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques Previous experience in kennel work, pet sitting, or veterinary assistance is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with pet owners A passion for animal care and welfare is essential Must be 18 years or older.
