Professional Dog Walker/Pet Sitter/Pet Care Your Companion’s Guardian West Conshohocken, PA 19428 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate animal lover to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care and attention to all types of pets. This role requires physical stamina, as you will be responsible for walking multiple dogs of various sizes and temperaments. This role also requires patience as many companions are rescues and need time to open up. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safety and well-being of the pets in your care while providing them with an enjoyable experience during indoor/outdoor time(s). In-person interview only. Responsibilities Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring their safety at all times. Manage dogs during walks, maintaining control and preventing any conflicts: tight firm on leash. Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior. Monitor the health and behavior of each companions, reporting any concerns to us so we can get in contact with the owner. Clean up after dogs during walks or the cat litter, ensuring a clean environment for all. Checking for any indoor messes and cleaning that up. Pee pads, diaper, etc. Maintain accurate records of each dog’s walking schedule and any special instructions from pet owners. Photos at each and every visit (even if there are multiple visits that day). Offer companionship and socialization for dogs/cats – enhancing their overall well-being. Traveling/driving to each location. Drivers license and reliable transportation. We are 7 days a week, 24hr business. Punctuality is a must. These companions depend on us. Communication if anything arises that might create setback. Always maintaining professionalism whether someone is watching or not. Many of our clients are older and this is important to keep all happy. Many of our clients homes are under surveillance and will report back to us with feedback. Experience Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred but not required. We will have on the job training and will teach/show you their routine. Pay attention. Skills in dog training or veterinary care aren’t a necessity. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is beneficial for managing larger breeds or multiple dogs at once. Some of our pups are in their older stage of life and require extra assistance. Experience in kennel environments or equine care isn’t a requirement. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential for success in this position. Some experience with technology (we take photos, post on Facebook, and have an app for our work). Have the ability to read and follow directions. English. Join us in providing loving care to all of our different companions (400 clients) from a 15-20 minute radius of Conshohcken (it’s not based off of your home location/starting point but our base operation). Normal pay is $11 per visit (Typically $22 per hour).
