Job Summary True Friends is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to animals in a safe and nurturing environment. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of animals while assisting with various tasks related to their health and comfort. The Animal Caretaker will work closely with Animal Care Coordinator and other team members to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient facility. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including cleaning, feeding, grooming, and exercising pets. Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to coordinator. Maintain cleanliness of animal enclosures, kennels, and common areas. Assist with administering medications and treatments as directed by coordinator. Support front desk operations by greeting clients and providing information about services. Utilize aseptic techniques when handling animals and during procedures. Participate in training programs for new staff on proper animal handling techniques. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain accurate records of animal care. Experience Candidates should possess experience or skills in one or more of the following areas: Pet care experience, particularly with dog handling and general animal handling skills. Familiarity with kennel operations and maintaining a clean environment for animals. Experience with cats including litter box changes, feeding and administering medication.
