The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in pet grooming, ensuring that each pet receives the highest level of care and attention. This role involves grooming various breeds of dogs and possibly other animals, maintaining their hygiene, appearance, and overall well-being. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of each animal’s coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle animals with care and ensure their comfort during grooming sessions. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to safety protocols. Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ needs and provide recommendations for care. Assist in animal restraint as needed during grooming procedures to ensure safety for both the pet and the groomer. Provide basic pet care advice to owners, including tips on maintenance between grooming appointments. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field such as veterinary assistance or animal handling. Strong knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs. Ability to handle animals safely and effectively, including experience with animal restraint techniques. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. A background in dog training or equine care is a plus but not mandatory. A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing exceptional pet care.
