In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and possess the skills necessary to handle various breeds and temperaments. You will work in a supportive environment where your expertise in pet grooming will be valued and appreciated. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, providing recommendations for care as needed. Handle pets with care and ensure their comfort during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area, including tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming. Provide excellent customer service to build lasting relationships with clients. Assist with kennel duties as needed, including feeding and caring for animals in the facility. Stay updated on grooming techniques and trends to provide the best service possible. Skills Proficient in dog handling techniques to ensure safety for both the groomer and the pet. Strong background in pet grooming practices with experience in various breeds preferred. Familiarity with kennel operations and animal handling protocols. Experience in pet sitting or working as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or moving equipment. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and provide them with an exceptional experience. Knowledge of equine care is beneficial but not required.
