Canine Care Specialist Posh Pooch Resort & Day Spa 819 Parris Island Gtwy, Beaufort, SC 29906 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to pets in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and possess the skills necessary to ensure their well-being while also delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Responsibilities Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the facility, including kennels and play areas. Assist with animal restraint and handling during grooming or veterinary procedures. Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets’ activities and well-being. Support training initiatives by reinforcing basic commands and behaviors during interactions. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures to protect both pets and staff. Qualifications Previous experience in dog care is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of animal care practices, including safe dog handling and positive reinforcement techniques. Experience in kennel operations or dog training is a plus. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
