Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets. Maintain cleanliness of animal living spaces, including kennels and play areas. Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff. Assist with pet sitting services, ensuring pets receive attention and care while their owners are away. Engage with pet owners to provide excellent customer service and address any inquiries or concerns. Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving large bags of pet food or cleaning supplies. Support dog training sessions as needed, reinforcing positive behaviors and commands. Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and any incidents that occur. Experience Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred but not mandatory; passion for animals is essential. Skills in pet grooming, pet sitting, or working in a kennel environment are advantageous. Customer service experience is beneficial for effective communication with pet owners. Familiarity with veterinary assistant duties can enhance the quality of care provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
