Dog Bather Happy Howler’s Pet Grooming 538 Great Falls Hwy, Chester, SC 29706 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be responsible for ensuring that pets receive the highest level of grooming and hygiene. This role is essential in maintaining the health and well-being of our furry clients, providing them with a clean and comfortable experience. Duties Bathe and groom pets according to breed standards and individual client preferences. Safely handle and restrain animals during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness in the bathing area, including washing towels, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing surfaces. Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff or management. Assist with drying, brushing, and styling pets as needed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs. Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored after use. Support other team members in daily tasks as required. Requirements Previous experience in pet care or grooming is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Skills in animal handling, including restraint techniques for various breeds. Familiarity with veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary assistant is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or moving equipment. Strong communication skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being. Experience in kennel settings or pet sitting is advantageous. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
