As a Pet Groomer for The Dashing Dog Parlour we are looking for motivated groomers in the industry to take advantage of continued education opportunities . With a Sponsored Groom team and many seminars hosted within our salon we provide the resources needed to excel. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming sessions. Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. Handle animals safely and compassionately, using proper restraint techniques when necessary. Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices to ensure high-quality service. Skills Strong knowledge of pet care, including experience in pet sitting or kennel management. Familiarity with veterinary practices is a plus to identify any health issues during grooming. Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients and address their concerns effectively. Proficient in animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the groomer and the pet during grooming sessions. Experience in dog training or handling is beneficial for managing various temperaments during grooming. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in grooming tasks.
