Located in The Nations, Urban Dog Bar is a member-based, off-leash dog park, and food & drink establishment. We are currently searching for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as “Rufferees”! As essential members of our team, Rufferees play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all dogs and people at our park. Requirements:

At least 18 years of age 1-2 years of pet care experience in preferred (daycare, animal clinic, shelter, lodging, etc) Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Flexible schedule and the ability to work during peak holiday periods, including nights and weekend Passion for animals and our mission to create an exceptional experience for pets and their owners Team-oriented with a friendly and positive attitude Ability to follow direction of supervisors and managers, and willingness to learn and ask for help when needed, especially regarding animal health, safety, and well being Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions The role of a Rufferee is an active position and will require, but is not limited to, the following: Physically able to handle, in a controlled manner, dogs of any size and breed Ability to push, pull, bend, sit, stand, and lift/carry up to 40 lbs to handle strenuous activity as needed Part-time roles are usually 3-4 shifts a week but we are flexible!

Position Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: 1. Ensure the health and safety of our two- and four-legged guests Monitor all off-leash areas, observing dog behavior and intervening when necessary to prevent conflicts or injuries Enforce rules in accordance with UDB policies Anticipate and address animal needs, including providing water as needed Report any health, behavior, or safety concerns to manager immediately Be open to training and mentoring with the goal of creating a fear-free approach 2. Represent our brand while interacting with customers and providing exceptional service Engage and interact with pets and their owners during their visit Focus on customer retention and build long-lasting relationships with dogs and owners alike building a sense of community 3. Maintain clean and organized social areas Clean up pet waste immediately and regularly disinfect play yards Clear and disinfect seating areas as needed Appropriate cleaning supplies and play materials as needed
