The ideal candidate will possess a love for animals and the skills necessary to provide high-quality grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering exceptional grooming experiences for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Provide grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping, for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during grooming sessions. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, following hygiene protocols to ensure a safe environment for pets. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming. Provide additional services such as ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and anal gland expression as needed. Keep accurate records of services performed and any special notes regarding individual pets. Qualifications Previous experience in pet grooming Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques to ensure safe interactions with pets. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
