Full Job Description Overview:

Slobberbones Pet Bakery & Bath is seeking an experienced and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team! Our groomers are a vital part of the team, providing exceptional grooming services while delivering a top-notch experience for both pets and their people. The ideal candidate will be skilled in breed-specific cuts, have a calm and compassionate demeanor, and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities:

As a Slobberbones Dog Groomer, you’ll be expected to: Perform grooming services including baths, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, and gland expression Consult with pet parents to understand grooming needs and expectations Ensure the health and safety of each pet in your care Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area and equipment Follow all safety and handling procedures to create a stress-free experience for pets Maintain grooming records and recommend appropriate grooming schedules to clients Support overall store goals by promoting products, services, and customer loyalty programs Assist with check-in/out of grooming clients and ensure pets are groomed in a timely and professional manner Contribute to the positive, team-oriented culture of the store

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1-2 years of professional grooming experience required Must be comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments Familiarity with various breed-specific grooming techniques Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage your daily schedule Strong work ethic, punctuality, and passion for animals Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of pet nutrition and care products Previous experience in a pet retail or boutique grooming setting Certification from an accredited grooming program is a plus
