The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the skills necessary to provide exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that leave our furry clients looking their best. This role requires strong animal handling skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle and restrain pets safely during grooming procedures to ensure their comfort and safety. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming options, pet care, and any concerns observed during grooming sessions. Customer Service skills are a must. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Will be required to do test grooms. Qualifications Proven experience in dog handling and pet grooming is preferred; certification in pet grooming is a plus. Familiarity with animal handling techniques. Ability to lift heavy animals when necessary and manage multiple pets in a busy environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners. Knowledge of various breeds’ grooming needs. A compassionate approach towards animals, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the grooming process.
