The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the grooming process. You will also interact with pet owners, providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs and any additional services offered. Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort during the grooming process. Assist in managing appointments and scheduling grooming sessions as needed. Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to provide the best care possible. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as animal handling or veterinary assistance is preferred. Strong knowledge of pet care practices, including understanding different breeds’ specific grooming needs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment. Previous experience in roles such as pet sitting or working in a kennel is a plus. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
