Dog Kennel Assistant Happy Paws Retreat Gallatin, TN 37066 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a clean and safe environment for the animals while providing them with the attention and care they need. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for animal care and are looking to contribute to a positive environment for pets. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, and exercising dogs. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas, ensuring a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the management staff. checking in and out guests who are boarding or grooming with us. Skills Strong experience in dog handling and animal care is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when moving animals or supplies. Knowledge of pet sitting practices and general pet care routines is beneficial. Experience with kennel operations will be considered an asset. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and pet owners. A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their well-being.
