In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. You will work closely with pets, ensuring they receive proper attention, exercise, and hygiene. This position requires a love for animals and the ability to handle them safely and effectively. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a safe environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals. Assist with basic procedures as needed. Engage with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and updates on their pets’ well-being. Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning supplies. Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both staff and animals. Skills Strong animal handling skills with experience as a kennel tech, in dog training or pet grooming preferred. Background in pet care or as a veterinary technician/assistant is a plus. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and other team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting and maintain physical stamina throughout shifts. Knowledge of animal care practices and behaviors is essential. A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their welfare. Must be a team player and support a positive culture.
