Dog Care Coordinator Social Pawz 1241 West Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Care Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. Your primary focus will be on the well-being of the dogs, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need while their owners are away. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Duties Supervise and interact with dogs in playgroups to ensure their safety and enjoyment. Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment. Feed and provide fresh water to dogs according to their specific dietary needs. Monitor dog behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff as necessary. Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming when required. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their dog’s day and any relevant updates. Perform front-desk duties when required (check dogs in/out and make reservations). Participate in training sessions for new staff on dog handling techniques and safety protocols. Experience Previous experience in animal care or related fields such as veterinary assistance, pet sitting, or kennel work is preferred. Skills in dog handling and animal behavior are essential for ensuring the safety of both dogs and staff, training will be provided. Familiarity with basic grooming techniques is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Strong customer service skills are necessary for effective communication with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling large breeds or moving equipment within the facility.
