The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of canine behavior and training techniques, with the ability to work effectively with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. This role involves teaching obedience, socialization, and specialized skills to dogs while also providing guidance and support to their owners. A love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential. Responsibilities Develop and implement training programs tailored to individual dogs’ needs. Teach basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, come, and heel. Address behavioral issues including aggression, anxiety, and excessive barking. Conduct group training sessions and private lessons for dog owners. Provide ongoing support and education to pet owners on training techniques and dog care. Maintain accurate records of each dog’s progress and communicate effectively with clients. Ensure a safe and positive training environment for both dogs and their owners. Collaborate with veterinary professionals when necessary for health-related issues. Skills Strong knowledge of pet care practices, including feeding, grooming, and health monitoring. Proficient in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during training sessions. Experience in animal handling, demonstrating confidence with various breeds. Familiarity with veterinary procedures or experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus. Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients and address their concerns effectively. Background in equine care is beneficial but not mandatory.
