Certifications Trainers must hold at least one of the following certifications to demonstrate their expertise in ethical training practices: Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) or Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge and Skills Assessed (CPDT-KSA) from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP) from the Karen Pryor Academy. AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator or other AKC-approved certifications from the American Kennel Club (AKC) emphasizing positive reinforcement. Equivalent certifications aligned with humane, science-based training techniques.

Candidates must have:

Rigorous Background Check and Vetting Process To guarantee the safety of our clients and the integrity of our organization, all trainers must: Pass a criminal background check to screen for any history that could compromise trust or safety. Provide strong references from previous employers, clients, or colleagues in dog training or animal welfare, which will be contacted and verified. Submit to a thorough vetting process, including: Verification of all certifications for authenticity. Cross-checking of experience claims with references and documentation. Interviews to assess mission alignment and training philosophy. This multi-layered process ensures we hire only genuine, qualified professionals and eliminates the risk of fakes. Profit-Sharing Model Trainers operate as independent contractors with the freedom to build their own client base.
