POSITION SUMMARY
Receptionist and Non-Anesthetic Dental Veterinary Technician We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Receptionist and Non-Anesthetic Dental Veterinary Technician to join our team. This dual-role position combines client-facing responsibilities with skilled dental care for pets, emphasizing non-anesthetic procedures for cats and dogs.
Dental Technician Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality dental cleanings, including prophylaxis and sub-gingival scaling, using modern techniques and gentle-hold methods. Clean calculus deposits from teeth and beneath the gumline with precision and care. Conduct thorough dental assessments and provide detailed charting of dental decay or disease. Educate pet families on preventative dental care and overall pet wellness. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the client experience—from reception through post-care education. Deliver dental consults to new and existing clients with empathy and expertise.
Reception & Client Communication:
Greet clients and pets warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients in person, by phone, and via email or text. Schedule appointments, manage client records, and ensure accurate data entry in veterinary management software. Answer questions, explain services, and support clients throughout their visit and follow-up care. Handle front desk operations efficiently.

COMPETENCIES
Animal Lover Experience working with multiple breeds of dogs and cats as a veterinary technician Experience with the methods and practices of dental cleaning for dogs and cats Experience with overall dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and medical history documentation preferred Ability to work independently within a team environment Flexibility with a schedule that may include weekends Professional appearance and positive attitude Minimum qualifications of a Veterinary Technician
WORK HOURS
Dental days are Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30, (Paid Hour Lunch Break) Occasional Saturdays needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS CVT
Certification Veterinary Technician preferred Pet industry experience preferred Experience and knowledge with pet dentals required
