You will be spending most of your day monitoring and engaging with puppies in an indoor and outdoor training space. Puppy Academy Support Staff Responsibilities Transport dogs safely in the Goldstar Puppy Academy “school bus” van. Work independently to carry out duties like taking dogs outside to potty, walking dogs on leash, feeding, preparing food toys, bathing and blow drying dogs when needed, monitoring dog to dog interactions, rewarding desirable behavior and providing company to dogs that are staying here for training. Keep daily records as required and communicate any medical or behavioral concerns to management. Organize the work space, clean and disinfect as needed. Learn the basics of dog behavior so you can encourage good behavior and avoid rewarding undesirable behavior in your daily interactions with the dogs. Don’t worry, we’ll teach you! This position requires physical movement like bending, crouching and occasional lifting of objects 45lbs or less. You also must be able to handle large dogs that may pull on leash. Job duties are subject to change based on the growing and changing needs of our business. You’ll never get bored! Some Cool Perks!
