Bather Pet Point 204 Dahlonega Street, Cumming, GA 30040 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing and grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the process. As a Pet Bather, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health and hygiene of our furry clients while creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Gently bathe and groom dogs and other pets according to their specific needs. Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during bathing, drying, and grooming processes. Handle animals with care, using proper restraint techniques when necessary. Maintain cleanliness in the bathing area, including cleaning equipment and tools after use. Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health issues during grooming sessions. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet’s needs and any observations made during grooming. Assist with kennel duties as needed, including feeding, walking, and providing companionship to animals. Skills Proficient in dog handling techniques to ensure safety for both the pet and the bather. Experience in animal handling or restraint is highly desirable. Familiarity with pet grooming practices is a plus; prior experience in pet grooming or veterinary assistance is beneficial. Knowledge of animal behavior to effectively manage various temperaments during grooming sessions. Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members. Previous experience in roles such as kennel assistant, veterinary assistant, or dog trainer is advantageous.
