Job Description
Seasonal Kennel technician (Summer/School breaks) Pampered Pet Care 4225 Union Hill Road, Alpharetta, GA 30004 Seeking a seasonal kennel technician for a summer job, ideally with prior experience working in a dog boarding facility or veterinary office. Shifts are seven days a week from 7:15AM to 1:15 PM and 3PM to 7:30 PM. Weekends are our busiest time so must be willing to work on the weekend. The ideal candidate will live close to our facility. The health of our dogs is our first priority, so your reliability and perfect attendance are crucial to the position. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and be able to work as part of a team. Excellent, prompt communication skills are an essential function of this position. Must have strong time management and organizational skills, demonstrate attention to detail, be able to work independently and exhibit initiative. This is a hands on working position and the candidate should be able to work long hours on their feet performing physical labor, be able to lift up to 60 pounds and work outdoors for extended periods of time in all types of weather. The dogs need to go out regardless of weather conditions. Computer skills required- handling emails, basic excel spreadsheets, texting software for client communications. Must be able to learn new kennel software or be familiar with Pawloyalty. Must be perceptive and well versed in reading canine behavior and body language. Must have experience integrating new dogs into a group of dogs and have excellent observation skills regarding dog-to-dog interaction and dog group management. Will be responsible for feeding, administering medications and pampering dogs (including bathing dogs), kennel and general cleaning, and scooping/sanitizing of play areas.

Must have own transportation to and from work (own license and vehicle, not relying on others for rides)
