We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Trainer to join our team. As a Dog Trainer, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of dogs and help them develop good behavior and obedience skills. This is a rewarding role for individuals who have a love for animals and enjoy working with them.

Duties:
  • Conduct training sessions for dogs of various breeds and sizes
  • Teach basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, come, and heel
  • Address behavioral issues such as excessive barking, chewing, and jumping
  • Create personalized training plans based on each dog’s needs and goals
  • Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors
  • Provide guidance and support to dog owners on training methods and techniques
  • Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to training plans
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions and client information
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of animal care and behavior
  • Experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field is a plus
  • Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
  • Proficient in basic pet grooming techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with dog owners
  • Familiarity with veterinary practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of equine behavior is beneficial but not required
  • Ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
  • Experience in pet sitting or working in a kennel is advantageous
