Part-time Dog Walker The Happy Pack East Falmouth, MA 02536 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being during walks. The ideal candidate will have experience in animal handling and a genuine love for pets, contributing to a positive experience for both the dogs and their owners. Responsibilities Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization. Monitor the behavior and health of dogs during walks, reporting any concerns to pet owners. Maintain control of dogs at all times, using appropriate animal restraint techniques when necessary. Provide basic care such as feeding, administering medications, or cleaning up after pets as needed. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s behavior and any incidents that may occur during walks. Ensure all equipment (leashes, harnesses) is safe and in good condition before each walk. Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both the dogs and yourself. Qualifications Experience in animal care or handling is preferred; knowledge of veterinary practices is a plus. Skills in animal restraint and basic dog training techniques are highly desirable. Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or technician is beneficial. Ability to manage multiple dogs at once while maintaining focus on their safety. Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners effectively. A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing excellent pet care.
