Pet Sitter/Dog Walker Takemeowt Mooresville, NC 28115 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care and attention to our furry clients. This role involves walking dogs in various environments, ensuring their safety and well-being while also engaging them in enjoyable activities. A strong background in animal care and customer service is preferred. Duties Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation. Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or health issues during walks. Maintain a safe environment for all pets, including managing interactions with other animals and people. Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s behavior and needs. Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as assisting with larger breeds or carrying supplies. Maintain accurate records of each walk, including duration, distance, and any notable behaviors or incidents. Experience Previous experience in animal care or dog handling is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners. Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus. Familiarity with veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary assistant/technician can enhance your candidacy. Experience in pet grooming or equine care will be considered an asset. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during walks or when managing equipment.
