Summer Help Kennel Attendant May-September, 2025 Buddies Country Kennels 4654 Gum Branch Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540 Summer Helper Needed. This position is from May to September 30, 2025. Buddies Boarding is looking to add a Summer Helper team member to our family! Must be motivated, reliable and have experience working with dogs. We are a small facility but very faced paced. Experience is preferred but willing to train the right person. At this time, this location is looking for someone that can help us during the busy holiday season! This will require the ability to work 4th of July and Labor day. This will also include weekends and week days as needed.

Job Duties Include:

Providing a safe environment while socializing and playing with dogs in playgroups Feeding and caring for boarding / daycare dogs Administering medication as needed Cleaning kennels Dishes, sanitizing Loads of laundry Cleaning and maintaining facility Answering phones/emails Client interaction Payment processing Loading medical records, pictures and notes to records Able to work companies Facebook during shift – adding pictures and a caption.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read body language of dogs Must be personable and compassionate with excellent communication skills Must be dependable and understand the reliance on teamwork Excellent phone skills while answering telephone Ability to schedule appointments with high attention to detail Ability to take direction Ability to handle money accurately and honestly Must possess sound decision-making skills and multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment Candidates should have open availability. Schedule includes morning and evening shifts, weekend shifts and holidays.

Physical requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance Must be able to stand for long periods of time must be able to tolerate an environment with loud noises Must be able to respond quickly Must be able to work in extreme weather Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations involving dogs
