Kennel/ Tech Assistant Black Rocks Animal Hospital 125 South Road, Fremont, NH 03044 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing high-quality service to pets and their owners. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of the animals in our care while also assisting with various kennel operations. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and other pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and equipment to ensure a safe environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff. Assist with dog training and socialization activities as needed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and well-being. Help with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures when necessary. Support kennel operations by performing administrative tasks such as record keeping and scheduling. Experience Prior experience in animal handling or care is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus. Experience in customer service roles is beneficial for effective communication with pet owners. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and basic veterinary care is advantageous.
