This particular position is from 12pm to 6pm (5) days per week, including weekends. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun and engaging environment for dogs in our care. You will interact with a variety of breeds and temperaments, ensuring their well-being while promoting socialization and exercise. Your love for animals and ability to handle them with care will be essential in creating a positive experience for both the dogs and their owners. Duties Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being. Maintain cleanliness in the daycare area, including cleaning up after dogs and sanitizing play spaces. Monitor dog behavior to identify any signs of stress or aggression, addressing issues promptly. Administer basic pet care tasks such as feeding breakfast, watering, and providing medication as needed. Assist with grooming tasks including brushing and bathing when necessary. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s behavior and needs. Collaborate with team members to create a structured daily routine for all dogs in the daycare. Requirements Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred (e.g., veterinary technician, kennel assistant, dog daycare). Strong understanding of dog behaviors. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (approx. 50 pounds). Excellent communication skills to interact with both dogs and their owners effectively.
