Dog Walker/Pet Sitter Fur Your Paws Only Conway, SC 29527 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs in our community. This role is perfect for animal lovers who enjoy spending time outdoors and have a strong commitment to the well-being of pets. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that each dog receives the attention, exercise, and care they need while their owners are away. Duties Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety and well-being during outings. Provide basic training commands to dogs during walks to reinforce good behavior. Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to pet owners. Ensure that all dogs are properly leashed and restrained during walks. Maintain a clean environment by picking up after dogs during walks. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s needs and any observations made during walks. Assist with additional pet care tasks as needed, including feeding, grooming, or administering medication if required. Requirements Previous experience in animal care, pet sitting, or dog training is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and safety protocols is essential. Ability to handle heavy lifting when managing larger breeds or carrying supplies. Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners effectively. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their care and well-being. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability during weekdays and weekends as needed. Certification or experience as a veterinary technician or in a kennel environment is a plus but not required.
