Do you like interacting with dogs? Do you have the patience to care for owners and their fur babies? Do you have experience in a kennel or clinic? Then Hilltop Dog Hotel wants to talk to you. Currently looking for a part-time, including weekends, kennel attendant for each business.
Duties:
- Supervise and monitor dogs in the hotel facility to ensure their safety and well-being
- Engage in playtime activities with the dogs, providing mental stimulation and exercise
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and common spaces
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by pet owners or veterinary staff
- Provide basic grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming
- Assist with training exercises to reinforce positive behaviors and promote good manners
- Interact with pet owners, providing updates on their pets’ activities, behavior, and overall well-being
- Handle customer inquiries, schedule appointments, and process payments
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting (veterinary clinic, animal shelter, pet daycare)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Knowledge of animal behavior, body language, and basic training techniques
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds safely and confidently
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time, bend, lift heavy objects (up to 40 pounds), and perform repetitive tasks
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment We offer competitive pay based on experience.
