Esthetics/Cosmetology Instructor Guinn Beauty Institute 30500 State Highway 181, Spanish Fort, AL 36527 Job Responsibilities 1. Conducting classes to educate students on various aspects of esthetics, including skincare, makeup application, hair removal techniques, and spa treatments. 2. Designing and developing lesson plans, course materials, and instructional resources to ensure comprehensive coverage of the curriculum. 3. Performing live demonstrations to illustrate techniques and procedures, providing hands-on learning opportunities for students. 4. Balancing theoretical knowledge with practical application through simulations, labs, and clinical experiences. 5. Evaluating student progress through exams, projects, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes. 6. Staying updated with industry trends, advancements in skincare technology, and new esthetic techniques to enhance teaching effectiveness. 7. Instructing students on safety protocols, sanitation practices, and ethical standards in esthetics practice. 8. Providing mentorship, academic advising, and career guidance to students to facilitate their professional growth and success in the field. Qualifications 1. Alabama Instructor Licenses Required 2. Previous experience working as an esthetician or in a similar role is usually required. Teaching experience or experience in training others is beneficial. 3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Patience, organization, and the ability to motivate and inspire students are also crucial. 4. A deep understanding of esthetic techniques, skincare products, equipment, and industry trends is required to effectively teach and mentor students.
