Hairstylist/Cosmetologist Jayde Day Spa and Salon 509 Main Avenue SW, Cullman, AL 35055 Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in hair styling techniques and a keen understanding of color theory, barbering, and retail math. As a Hair Stylist, you will provide exceptional hair care services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for our clients. Your ability to upsell products and services will contribute to the overall success of our salon. Responsibilities Provide high-quality hair styling services, including cuts, colors, and treatments tailored to client preferences. Utilize straight razor techniques where applicable to achieve desired styles. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations. Manage appointments and client records using MINDBODY or similar scheduling software. Educate clients on hair care products and techniques to enhance their styling experience. Upsell salon products and services to maximize client satisfaction and salon revenue. Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and techniques through continuous education. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive salon atmosphere. Qualifications Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations. Strong knowledge of color theory and hair care practices. Experience with retail math to assist in inventory management and sales strategies. Proficiency in using MINDBODY or similar salon management software is preferred. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in store management is a plus but not mandatory.
