Must be a licensed Cosmetologist in Florida. We are looking for a motivated employee that can instruct students effectively, assuring that the institution achieves its educational goals, objectives and continuing purpose. Must be able to teach traditional and hybrid delivery method.

Skills/Competencies/Duties Required:

Bilingual (English & Spanish) be able to read, write, and speak both languages a plus. Must have field experience for at least 2 years (within the last 5 years) in the area applying to teach in. Must be licensed as a Cosmetologist in the state of Florida (must be active). Be enthusiastic, passionate, and professional at all times with students, guests, clients, and peers. Support the school’s vision, mission and educational objectives. Comply with all required rules and regulations of the school. Teach and follow the school’s published curriculum, using all teaching aids and handouts provided. Help students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content. Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position and school. Provide grades, evaluation, and student feedback in a timely manner. Employ appropriate classroom & shop/spa management strategies to keep students motivated, engaged and on task. Be able to coach in the moment, encourage creativity, and be patient with the students. Have a deep love to teach and encourage others to learn and be the next great generation of beauty experts. Be able to give and accept constructive criticism. Actively participate in training and development to ensure competency with the curriculum and trends to deliver it to the students in a positive and exciting way. Participate in special events such as Graduation, school/classroom competitions, Career Fairs, student recognition ceremonies, etc. Maintain proper sanitary procedures and standards in the classroom at all times. Be flexible and have the ability to teach a diverse group of students. Have basic computer skills a must. Other duties as assigned.
