The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of locs and natural hair care, along with a flair for retail sales and customer service. As a Loctician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional hair care services while also educating clients about maintaining their locs. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Provide expert loc maintenance services, including installation, retwisting, and styling of locs. Educate clients on proper loc care techniques and products to maintain healthy hair. Perform additional hair services as needed. Manage store operations effectively, ensuring cleanliness and organization of the workspace. Engage in retail sales by recommending products that enhance client satisfaction and promote upselling opportunities. Maintain accurate records of client appointments and services rendered. Sanitize tools and work areas to uphold health and safety standards. Requirements Proven experience as a Loctician or in a similar role within the beauty industry. Strong knowledge of hair extensions, barbering techniques, and retail math. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining client trust. Familiarity with sanitation practices within the beauty industry. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing appointments and inventory. A passion for mentoring others and sharing knowledge about hair care practices.
